Having a site in a different language is good for Geo SEO and targeting a specific country. Ideally this would be on a separate domain such as slickmedia.fr but in many cases this isn't practical so instead you can use a sub-domain such as fr.slickmedia.co.uk. If you opt to apply such a method then you can easily let the Search Engines know about the alternate language sites by adding the following between your site <head> tags.</head>
Technically you can apparently also use a sub folder to achieve a similar effect. So in this case we could use slickmedia.co.uk/fr/ although its not foolproof and could confuse the Search Engine robots.
